Key Features and Sections

Login Page

  • Users access the Interact SSAS portal via a browser and enter login credentials.
  • The home page provides quick navigation to essential functions such as applications, profile management, and system messages.
  • Users can access support services via the Help Desk and Help icons.
  • Applications menu offers access to benefit applications, registration updates, and other services.
  • Users can view past actions in the Action History tab.
  • The Applications History form displays previous application submissions.

Edit Profile

  • Allows survivors to update their personal information.
  • Necessary updates can be made, and changes are saved by clicking the “Update” button.
  • Changes may only become effective after review and approval by a SSA officer, depending on the configuraiton.

General Tab

  • Displays general survivor details, including name, social security number, and registration information.
  • Users can update details and save changes.

Dependents Management

  • Users can add and manage dependents.
  • Includes details such as Social Security Number, name, birth details, nationality, address, and living situation.
  • Allows for dependent updates, deletions, and new additions.

Spouses Management

  • Users can add and manage spouse details.
  • Includes spouse’s Social Security Number, name, birth details, nationality, marriage details, and marital status.
  • Users can update or delete spouse records as necessary.

Addresses

  • Displays and manages survivor address details.
  • Users can add, edit, or remove addresses as required.

Employment History

  • Allows survivors to view and update employment details.
  • Includes employer name, job title, employment dates, earnings, and social security contributions.

Benefit Claims

  • Provides an overview of benefit claims submitted by the survivor.
  • Displays claim number, date, entitlement policy, beneficiary group, processing office, claim administrator, and status.

Benefit Payments

  • Displays details of benefit payments received.
  • Includes claim number, date, pay cycle, payment period, benefit type, amount, and bank details.

Certificate of Life

  • Lists all certificates of life submitted to confirm the survivor’s eligibility for benefits.
  • Displays pension type, claim number, submission deadlines, request date, and status.

Certificate of School

  • Tracks annual school certificates required for dependent survivors above 16.
  • Displays student number, applicant name, and attachments.

Registration Information Change Requests

  • Users can submit registration change requests for various reasons.
  • Allows submission, updates, and tracking of Registration Information Change Request.

Survivors Benefit Application

  • Survivors can apply for benefits, including survivor pensions and grants.
  • Provides guided forms for different applicant types (spouse, dependent children, parents, and grandparents).
  • Includes sections for deceased insured details, relationship verification, and required documents.

Claim for Funeral Grant

  • Allows survivors to claim funeral expenses for deceased insured persons or dependents.
  • Requires submission of supporting documents such as death certificates, receipts, and authorization letters.

Death Benefit Application
